Agilis Energy Partners with Antares to Provide Services to Commercial Real Estate Companies

RALEIGH, NC. and MCLEAN, VA. Oct. 14, 2009

Agilis Energy and Antares Enterprises, Limited have joined forces to provide energy assessment, efficiency and management services to commercial real estate owners, developers, property managers and tenants in the Washington, DC metropolitan and New England markets.  Commercial real estate stakeholders are increasingly under pressure to reduce costs and more carefully manage capital improvements, but also to enhance building efficiency and meet corporate sustainability goals.  Agilis and Antares have recognized the need for experienced and trusted advice to help create practical energy assessments and plans for consumers that take into account the myriad of market complexities, incentives and unique energy use characteristics.  Agilis and Antares aim to put the consumer in a position of informed strength when working with energy suppliers and equipment vendors.  The insight provided will also help with internal discussions and strategic energy and sustainability planning.

Antares' CEO, Margaret Hirl, brings more than 25 years of relationships and experience in investment sales, advisory services and construction management in the mid Atlantic to Northeast markets.  "I see this as a great opportunity to provide market relevant services to my many clients," said Margaret Hirl

Agilis Managing Director, Joe Hirl, a 20+ year energy industry executive, indicated, "Medium and large energy users' perspectives are changing as it relates to energy use and environmental impact.  There is more demand to be efficient, but also a requirement to be smart on capital outlays to improve efficiency.  These same consumers are now inundated with calls from service and equipment providers claiming to have the best energy saving solution.  It is our opinion that companies need to first truly understand how they are currently using energy before they jump on a "single" solution.  This is where Agilis and Antares aim to help."
